What kind of images do people want to share though? The answer, according to Hubspot, is infographics, which generate three times as many likes or shares compared to any other type of social media content.
It makes sense that people would want to share infographics more so than a lot of other content. A well-designed infographic provides the type of easily-digestible, useful, and interesting information that gets people to click the share button.
Another factor to consider when framing your content is emotion. People like to share things that resonate with them on an emotional level.
The reason people share content on social media is because it they feel like they’re sharing part of their identity. Everything that exists on a person’s social media page says something about that person.
An emotional appeal can be anything that connects with your follower base. For example, let’s say you run a store that specializes in selling recycled goods. On your social media, you might want to share an infographic that demonstrates the impact that recycled goods are having on protecting the environment. Not only does that connect with people on an emotional level, it’ll connect with your followers on an individual level.
If you really want an easy one though, cute animals are always a great go-to. I mean seriously, who doesn’t want to share cute pictures of animals? If we’re just going off of my personal Facebook friends list, pretty much no one. But I digress. It’s a shamelessly easy way to do it, and if you’re all out of options, it’s not a bad way to go.
