Football season

When fall rolls around, professional and college football are just kicking off for the season. Depending on the nature of your business, you can leverage football season in a variety of ways. Whether it’s to sell merchandise like T-shirts and other apparel, or to promote football party essentials, such as grillware, food, and more, football provides plenty of options for your store to push.

Back-to-school

Back-to-school marketing is already in full swing, so hopefully your business is already well into it’s back-to-school campaign. Of course, even if you haven’t, it’s never too late to capitalize on this annual event. One easy way to attract local students is by offering a limited-time “back-to-school” discount for returning students. Even if it’s a small percent off, it’ll be an easy way to get feet through the door.

Holidays

The two big holidays to hone in on for fall are Halloween and Thanksgiving. Occupying October and November respectively, these holidays are back-to-back, especially when it comes to your marketing campaigns. Your Thanksgiving campaign should roll into effect the day right after Halloween: November 1st.

Also, a word of advice. It’s never too early to start planning Black Friday. It’ll arrive sooner than you think! Make sure your deals are prepared ahead of time.

Social media fun

Give your social media a fall makeover. Deck your business’s profile/cover photos out with red and green leaves. When Halloween and Thanksgiving eventually roll around, you can do the same thing with those holidays, featuring pumpkins and bats, and then turkeys and pilgrims. It’s easy and pretty low-effort!

Hold a fall sale

When all else fails, you can never go wrong with holding a big fall blowout sale. “Come see how low our prices will fall!” I mean seriously, the headlines practically write themselves!
