Guest Privacy Policy

General Information

A CoGoBuzz™ User (“User”) is defined as anyone connected via wireless or wired to the CoGoBuzz™ Solution (the “Solution”) that is authorized as a Transient Connection. A Transient Connection is a connection that utilizes a public network typically created for internet access for other than business operations of the venue by individuals on a nonpermanent basis. Transient Connections may use any one of several access control methods on a CoGoBuzz™ Public Network configuration, to include, but not limited to: Authorization Code; Single Click; or Social Media / 3rd Party Authorization.

As a part of the authorization process, ongoing utilization, or termination process the Solution may collect personal information. Personal information is defined as anything shared by User to the Solution, to include, but not limited to accessible user profiles on social media applications, information sharing applications, or other network based applications, as well as specifically requested information via the Solution; ongoing operations and procedures, such as access troubleshooting, device troubleshooting, dialogues with CoGoBuzz staff, application surveys, direct phone, email, interactive chat, or other methods of communication with the User, or indirectly, i.e. venue staff.

As part of the ongoing operations of the Solution the system may collect, store, aggregate, and correlate utilization information based on anonymous collection techniques, this information is designated as CoGoBuzz™ Operational Information (“OpInfo”).

In all forms, the OpInfo may used to improve the services of the Solution, services of the venue, as well as offers, support, recommendations, security, compliance, and guidance for all aspects of the User experience.

Information Sharing to Others.

Based on the basic CoGoBuzz™ Operator Agreement, or other agreements between HNG and HNG clients, some elements of the aforementioned User information may be shared with the CoGoBuzz™ Operator or CoGoBuzz™ Associate Operator, or other designated CoGoBuzz™ Partner, here in referred to as the Operator. This information may be limited to anonymous, correlated, summary, or all or parts of OpInfo based on permissions and agreements of the Operator.  

CoGoBuzz™ Operator Extended Guest Information Access (“EGIA”) Agreement defines additional elements of the aforementioned User information may be shared with the Operator. The EGIA, or a customized agreement, collectively referred to as the EGIA, specifically grants access to User specific information as previously described as collected. The EGIA specifically describes the model for utilizing such data, the restrictions on utilization of such data, and the available recourse by HNG for remedying any form of violation of the EGIA.

Information sharing under other circumstances.

Some elements of the aforementioned information, such as the OpInfo, may be shared with the CoGoBuzz™ venue and/or associated CoGoBuzz™ Operator, or others.

Guest specific information, designated as User Information, is not shared with or sold to other organizations, except as described above, for commercial purposes, except to provide products or services specifically requested by the User, and, when we have specific User permission.

Any and all other information may be shared under the following circumstances:

  • It is necessary to share information in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of Terms of Service, or as otherwise required by law.
  • The transfer information may occur if the CoGoBuzz™ Solution is acquired by or merged with another company. In this event, if the currently active Solution privacy policies are substantially different, then the receiving entity shall be responsible to notify the User prior to the relevant information being accessed for other purposes and / or becoming subject to a different privacy policy.

Cookies

  • A cookie is a small amount of data, which often includes an anonymous unique identifier that is sent to the User’s browser and stored on a User’s local device storage.
  • Cookies are required to use the Solution.
  • Cookies are used to record current session information. To protect User privacy and private data, the Solution does not use permanent cookies. The Solution will periodically require to the User to re-authenticate to protect the User privacy and private data and avoid others from accessing a User session.

Data Storage

The Solution uses third-party vendors and hosting partners to provide the necessary hardware, software, networking, storage, and related technology required to run and maintain the CoGoBuzz Solution. CoGoBuzz™ owns, or legally licenses the code, databases, and all rights to the Solution and all data maintained within the Solution, to include User information once submitted to, established, supplemented, augmented, or otherwise derived by processes and processing within the Solution.

Data removal, as defined by the Solution, includes the removal of all User information from the active Solution. Data removal doesn’t not imply purging all User information from long term storage or other archived systems, or the extraction of User information from any correlated, aggregated or summarized data. Validation of User data removal will be available in the form of a Solution report, interrogating appropriate active Solution storage systems for directly related User information.

Disclosure

CoGoBuzz™ may disclose personally identifiable information under special circumstances, such as to comply with subpoenas or in the event of violations the CoGoBuzz™ Terms of Service.

Changes

CoGoBuzz™ may periodically update this policy. We will notify all Users about significant changes in the way User information is handled or disseminated by sending a notice to the primary email address specified or by placing a prominent notice on our site.
